Chunghwa Post is the national post service. There are many branches available in Taipei City and several branches remain open during weekends. Postcard or letter can be sent back home, stick a proper amount of stamp on the postcard then drop it in the red mailbox on the street.
Postage rates may vary depending on the destination.
Banks in Taiwan open from 9am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday, unless specified.
All TMU faculties are required to have bank account from either CTBC Bank or Taiwan Cooperative Bank for salary purpose.

National Health Insurance
Foreign nationals who are legal residents of Taiwan should enroll in the National Health Insurance program upon living in Taiwan for 6 months of continuous residence in Taiwan.
Foreign faculties can apply to enroll in the program through the work place (school).
